Astronomy Large Format Camera
This camera can be cryo-cooled to –100°C temperatures to eliminate dark current for long exposures. 16-bit digitization with dual slope integration combine to give high dynamic range and less than four electrons read noise. Spectral Instruments proprietary fiber optic communications with the controlling computer ensure the speeds necessary to move the voluminous amount of data generated over relatively large distances.
